Meet Our Team


Sam Rooke

Veterinarian (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)

Sam is originally from Casterton (the home of the Kelpie) in Victoria’s south-west.  His university studies were undertaken at the Universities of Adelaide and Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Melbourne in 2003.

Sam has worked in mixed practice in the Macedon Ranges and has spent time in various practices in England & throughout Melbourne. He has developed a special interest in, and completed further studies in, surgery.

When not at work, Sam likes nothing more than to spend time with his family and friends. He also likes travelling, watching football and wine. Sam is married to Nicole and has two daughters as well as PK, a kelpie cross.

Nicole Santucci

Veterinarian (BVSc BSc(hons))

Nicole graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003 and has been practicing as a small animal vet since 2004.  Nicole is married to Dr Sam Rooke and they have 2 daughters, 1 cat, 1 dog, a llama and lots of sheep.

Nicole enjoys life on the farm and juggling work with the challenges of motherhood.

Ebonnie Forster

Veterinarian (Bachelor of Veterinary Biology, Bachelor of Veterinary Science)

Ebonnie grew up near Colac in south-west Victoria and completed her veterinary degree at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Waga NSW.  

Ebonnie has a special interest in preventative medicine, particularly dentistry.

In her spare time Ebonnie enjoys walking with her dog Lucy, skiing and spending time with friends and family.


Dr Amber Bruton


Amber graduated from the University of Melbourne and has been a practising vet since 2002. She then went on to work in the UK for 2 years before returning to settle and practice in Melbourne.  

Amber grew up locally and now lives with her husband, son, and daughter, along with their two cats, Oliver and Hugo.

Her interests include food, films, reading, keeping fit and her beloved Western Bulldogs


Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Tamara started at Greenvale Animal Hospital in 2013.  Tamara has recently completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and would like to also obtain her Diploma. Tamara enjoys running our puppy school classes and hand rearing foster kittens.  In her spare time Tamara enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her 2 bunnies and her dogs Leroy & June.



Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Certificate III Animal Technology)

Nicki decided to become a veterinary nurse in 2004, after many years in the travel industry. Having worked as a volunteer with the RSPCA, she knew she loved working with animals and decided to make it a full time career. There are many aspects of her job that Nicki enjoys –  working with clients to help them achieve optimal health for their pets, nursing unwell pets back to health and not to mention cuddles with puppies!

Nicki holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and enjoys attending seminars and conferences.

While not working, Nicki spends time on her property with her children Lacey and Kobe, as well as her partner Ralph, and sooky staffy Seth In her spare time, Nicki enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time on the river.


Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV in Vet Nursing)

Madeleine started at Greenvale Animal Hospital in 2011 after doing placement with us for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Madeleine is particularly interested in neonatal care (puppies and kittens).  Madeleine also has another cat and three dogs.

Madeleine enjoys spending time with her husband Josh, her daughter Charli, and of course her menagerie of animals.  Maddy has returned from maternity leave after the arrival of her baby boy Jay.



Veterinary Nurse

Laura joined Greenvale Animal Hospital in 2016.  Laura has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In her spare time Laura enjoys playing netball, surfing, spending time with her family, friends and two dogs Bonnie and Maloo.


Veterinary Nurse

Amy started at Greenvale Animal Hospital in 2015. She is currently studying her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Box Hill TAFE.

In her spare time, Amy likes to travel, spend time with family and friends, and bake.

Amy currently lives in Sunbury with her family, 2 dogs Ace & Lily, and 2 cats Oliver & Meeko.
